AMMAN — Jordan is participating in a two-day meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to follow up on the 'International Alliance to Implement the Two-State Solution'.

The meeting aims to mobilise international efforts to end the Israeli occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state in accordance with the two-state solution, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson stressed that Jordan was instrumental in launching the initiative during a ministerial meeting held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York last September.

Along with other members of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee, the European Union, and Norway, Jordan reiterated its unwavering support for the rights of the Palestinian people and their right to establish an independent state along pre-1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.
