AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Monday met with Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York.
His Majesty stressed the importance of regional de-escalation, as well as reaching an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza and stopping the Israeli war on Lebanon, according to a Royal Court statement.
The meeting covered a number of bilateral issues, as well as matters of mutual concern.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh attended the meeting.
