Jordan, Spain discuss cooperation in tourism

AMMAN — The Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association, in cooperation with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy in Amman, held on Monday an interactive session on “The State of Tourism between Jordan and Spain”.
Awni Kawar, a member of the association’s advisory board, addressed the challenges facing the tourism sector as a result of regional events, and shared key proposals to overcome these issues and enhance tourism cooperation between Jordan and Spain.
Spain’s Ambassador to Jordan Miguel de Lucas commended the safety and security offered by Jordan.
Outlining the reasons why Spanish tourists are attracted to Jordan, the envoy highlighted the shared cultural and historical heritage of the two countries, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
