AMMAN — The General Association for Foodstuff Merchants (GAFJO), in coordination with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), has launched its fourth campaign to support the people of northern Gaza, who are facing hunger due to the ongoing brutal Israeli aggression and banning the delivery of humanitarian aid and food supplies.

The association on Wednesday said that the campaign includes providing ready-to-eat meals prepared and cooked in northern Gaza and distributing bread and drinking water to Gaza citizens, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The association stressed that the campaign is supported by its members and comes as a continuation of the previous three campaigns launched since the start of the aggression on Gaza, aiming to alleviate the humanitarian disaster and the war faced by the people of the besieged strip.

The association commended ongoing efforts made by the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, at various levels to rally international support to deliver humanitarian aid to Gazans by all possible means.

It also called on its members and workers in the foodstuff sector to support the campaign and provide aid to the people of northern Gaza, as part of the national duty to stand with the people of Gaza and offer all forms of assistance to stop the humanitarian catastrophe they are facing by Israel.

The previous campaigns conducted by the association in coordination with the JHCO included providing essential items and foodstuff in the first campaign, iftar meals during Ramadan in the second campaign, and distributing Eid sweets during Eid Al Fitr in the third campaign, Petra added.
