AMMAN — Jordanians took to the streets of downtown Amman and several governorates after Friday prayers to show solidarity with the Palestinian people and denounce the ongoing genocide perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces against innocent civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The marches were attended by various groups, including popular, youth and party organisations, united in their condemnation of the ongoing Israeli aggression, which has claimed the lives of tens of thousands of people and left others wounded, including children and women, while thousands more remain trapped under the rubble as the occupation prevents rescue teams access, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
They also condemned the international community's silence over the ongoing massacres in Gaza and criticised the double standards applied to the consequences of the war on the besieged enclave.
The participants called on Arab nations, international organisations and the world community to express solidarity with Gaza and take immediate action to put an end to the bloodshed in the Strip.
They also praised the Kingdom's unwavering support for the rights of the Palestinian people and highlighted the alignment between the official and grassroots positions in supporting the Palestinian people.
