AMMAN — The staff of the Jordanian field hospital Gaza/2 on Saturday donated blood to patients and injured people in the Gaza Strip, who are currently receiving treatment at the facility.

The commander of the hospital said that the initiative is a testament to the humanitarian values of the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), reflecting their commitment to the people of the Gaza Strip, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

He also emphasised that such actions embody the highest human values upheld by the JAF, serving to strengthen the bonds of unity between the two nations.

The hospital’s director also highlighted the important role of these contributions, explaining that the medical teams had encountered numerous emergency cases requiring immediate blood transfusion.

To meet this urgent need, the blood bank was replenished with units from various groups, thereby ensuring the survival of patients and injured individuals. Additional quantities were stored in the laboratory to cater to future needs, he added.

The Jordanian field hospital commenced operations on March 8. Since its inception, the hospital has provided essential medical services to 47,122 patients and injured people from the besieged strip.
