Palestinian Foreign Ministry hails King's stance on Palestinian cause

AMMAN — The Palestinian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday praised His Majesty King Abdullah for his "sincere and courageous" stance on the Palestinian cause during his summit with US President Joe Biden. The ministry said in a press statement that His Majesty stressed the urgent need for a ceasefire, the protection of civilians and the provision of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The ministry also appreciated His Majesty's warning about the regional dangers of settler violence and settlement expansion, and his call for international efforts and joint action to resume the political process and achieve a just and lasting peace, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. The statement added that these positions reflect the Kingdom's consistent support for the Palestinians' legitimate and inalienable rights.
