CPF, Leaders Int’l sign agreement to promote local supply chains

AMMAN — The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) and the Leaders International for Economic Development have signed a collaboration agreement to support the Dutch-funded “Corporate Entrepreneurship Responsibility Alliance” (CERA) project. The agreement underlines the commitment of both organisations to promoting corporate social responsibility and strengthening local supply chains in the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Tuesday.  Signed by Hamzeh Shamaileh, Leaders International for Economic Development general manager, and Tamam Mango, CEO of CPF, the agreement aims to support the four-year CERA project that focuses on encouraging large Jordanian companies to shift their procurement of intermediate goods from the global to the local market. To achieve this goal, the project will improve the corporate social responsibility practices of large companies and encourage collaboration with smaller Jordanian suppliers, according to Petra. The project also aims to build the human, technical and financial capacity of SME enterprises to meet the needs of both Jordanian and global industry. Through this partnership, the CPF looks forward to extending the benefits of the project to a wider range of beneficiaries, Petra reported.
