AMMAN — A Jordanian-Egyptian agreement was signed on Thursday to establish the "Coral Bridge" marine cable, which is the first marine cable to connect communications between the two countries via Aqaba and Taba. Founder and CEO of NaiTel Jordan Eyad Abu Khorma and CEO of Telecom Egypt Mohamed Nasr Eldin signed the agreement in the presence of Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat and Jordan's Ambassador to Egypt Amjad Adaileh, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Nasr Eldin said that the new infrastructure between Taba and Aqaba will be an "important gateway" for international communications between Asia, Africa and Europe. Abu Khorma said that this partnership will make Jordan and Egypt an innovative communications destination, and will highlight the Aqaba Digital Hub as a neutral meeting between Asia, Africa and Europe.
