Zarqa water authorities deal with water theft incident in Russeifa

AMMAN — Water authorities in Zarqa, in cooperation with security personnel in Russeifa District, have dealt with a water theft incident on water mains, which were illegally supplied 150 houses, established on state-owned lands, the Water Ministry said on Tuesday. The ministry added that illegal fixtures were dismantled and its personnel calculated the amounts of withdrawn water prior to proceeding with legal action against suspects, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The ministry called on the public to promptly report any incidents of water theft, emphasising the importance of preserving water resources in the Kingdom and ensuring fair distribution of water for all.
