1st Arab Conference for Excellence in Institutional Performance opens

AMMAN — The First Arab Conference for Excellence in Institutional Performance kicked off on Wednesday, with the aim of promoting Arab standards of excellence for the industrial sector in implementation of a decision by the Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU).

The conference, held at the Amman Chamber of Industry, represented an opportunity to boost cooperation among the organisations sponsoring national awards in the Arab world, and to exchange expertise with researchers specialising in institutional excellence, the Jordan News Agency reported.

Secretary-General of CAEU Muhammadi Ahmed Al Ni underlined the importance of innovation and excellence in development. 

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Euro Jordanian Advanced Business Institute Tamim Qasrawi pointed out the importance of the institutional performance in influencing the durability of institutions and gaining a new market share, through the implementation of quality management systems to reduce waste and raise the efficiency of supply chains.

CEO of the King Abdullah II Centre for Excellence Ibrahim Rawabdeh said that political, social and economic development needs to be accompanied by changes in administrative systems across various types of institutions and companies.

Chief Financial Officer of Noor Al Mal Company Mohammed Jaradat said that institutional excellence is a keystone for any institution in light of the globalisation that requires innovation and high-quality services.
