Jordan takes lead in inaugural meeting of Pan-Arab clean energy initiative

AMMAN — Jordan presided over the first meeting of the Pan-Arab Clean Energy Initiative. The meeting was attended by delegations from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Iraq, Oman, Libya, Egypt, Morocco and Yemen. The meeting discussed the mining propects in the Arab region, highlighting its significance in securing the future international demand. MEMR's Shrouq Abdel Ghani discussed the goals of the initiative and the Arab Platform for Future Minerals which will be launched by the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organisation, aiming to be first digital and interactive database for minerals.
