AMMAN — Sit-ins and protest rallies in support of Gazans and condemnation of the escalating Israeli aggression on the Strip took place in several regions of the Kingdom.
Thousands of Jordanians took part in a sit-in in the Rabieh region of Amman, where the participants of this gathering expressed their condemnation of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which peaked on Friday night.
The attack on Friday night included attempts by the Israeli occupation to carry out ground operations, accompanied by a complete disruption of communication services.
Solidarity with the Gazans and denunciation of the silence of the international community in the face of the killing of civilians, the destruction of homes, the loss of innocent lives, the targeting of hospitals and medical facilities and the dire humanitarian conditions in Gaza, were expressed by the participants in the gatherings.
The calls included an immediate halt to the Israeli aggression, ending hostilities and the facilitation of humanitarian and relief access into the Strip.
The urgent need for a firm Arab and international stance condemning the actions of the Israeli occupation and the “atrocities” being perpetrated were emphasised as well.
