AMMAN — The National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) and the Jordan Bio-Industries Centre (JOVAC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to bolster cooperation in the field of animal wealth research.

NARC Director-General Nizar Haddad and JOVAC Executive Director Raad Abdul Dayim signed the MoU, according to a NARC statement.

Haddad highlighted the significance of the MoU in nurturing partnerships with both national and specialised institutions engaged in the development and production of vaccines and biological diagnostics for poultry and farm animals.

Haddad also noted NARC's commitment to fully utilising the resources available at its research stations nationwide to bolster collaboration and support national projects that uplift the agricultural sector.

Dayim highlighted JOVAC's achievements in the field of biological industries in Jordan, with a notable emphasis on veterinary vaccines that are exported to over 45 countries. These vaccines play an “indispensable” role in safeguarding global animal wealth, he added.
