Agreement signed to implement sanitation project in Jubeiha

AMMAN — Water Minister Mohammad Najjar and United Enterprises Company (UEC) on Sunday signed an agreement to implement a sanitation project in Jubeiha.
The agreement is worth 11.298 million euros, 90 per cent of which is funded by the German Development Bank (KfW) as part of the NEXUS project. A further 10 per cent comes from the Water Authority of Jordan, according to a ministry statement.
Najjar said that the WAJ always seeks to improve the environment status and expand sanitation services nationwide. The minister praised the support of donor countries and international institutions, mainly the EU and Germany through KfW, which contributed to the empowerment of the water sector in the Kingdom.
