AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday endorsed the 2023 bylaw governing the compensation of individuals affected by road accidents from vehicles that lack compulsory insurance.
The bylaw, approved during a session headed by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, comes in implementation of the 2021 Insurance Law that stipulates establishing a fund to compensate for death and injuries and moral damages resulting from road accidents, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Also, the Cabinet decided to extend its decision setting Jerusalemites’ passport issuance and renewal fees at JD50 for five years. The decision follows Royal directives to provide support for Jerusalemites and their steadfastness as part of the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in the holy city.
