Jordan, Iraq discuss enhancing cooperation to combat narcotics

AMMAN — Justice Minister Ahmad Ziadat on Thursday received Adnan Juhaishi, head of the narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances committee in the Iraqi parliament, to discuss the importance of enhancing regional and international cooperation to combat this issue. During the meeting, attended by other members of the Iraqi committee in the presence of Chargé d'Affaires of the Iraqi Embassy Munif Ali Hussein, Ziadat stressed the "deep-rooted" nature of Jordanian-Iraqi relations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The minister also stressed the need to provide protection for youth from narcotics. Juhaishi commended the level of cooperation in all fields.
