AMMAN — A Jordanian delegation, including the Minister of Water Mohammad Al Najjar, Minister  of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Al Kharabsheh and Minister of Environment Muawieh Radaideh, is visiting  the United Arab Emirates, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday.

The ministers will meet with senior officials, including Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and the special envoy for climate change.

The meetings will include talks on advancing cooperation, notably in areas such as energy, water and environment. They will also explore avenues to address the arising global climate crisis challenges.

Discussions will largely focus on preparations for the upcoming 28th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 28), to be held in November and December.

The visit will also include a trilateral meeting which will bring together the Jordanian delegation, the UAE minister and the Israeli minister of energy.

The tripartite meeting aims to advance the implementation of the declaration of intent, which was forged between the three parties, beside the United States, in 2021.
