Prince Feisal attends ceremony honouring national basketball teams

AMMAN — HRH Prince Feisal, president of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC), on Thursday attended a ceremony to honour the national basketball teams. The event was organised by the Interim Committee of the Jordan Basketball Federation in Amman.

Accompanying Prince Faisal were HRH Princess Aya Bint Faisal, the two deputy presidents of the Olympic Committee, Sari Hamdan and Khaled Al Attiyat, along with Secretary-General of the Olympic Committee Rana Al Saeed and head of the Interim Committee Mohammed Elayan, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The event featured the debut of the new official song for the national teams, and the announcement of the Jordan Banks Association and Jordan Bromine as new sponsors for the national team.  The captain of the national team, Zaid Abbas, delivered a speech on behalf of the basketball community. He emphasised their “unwavering commitment to preserving the rich heritage of basketball and their relentless pursuit of continued success”.
