CDD extinguishes fire at petroleum factory in Mafraq

AMMAN — Civil Defence Department (CDD) personnel on Tuesday morning extinguished a fire that erupted in a factory producing lubricants and petroleum items in Mafraq, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) spokesperson said. 

He added that the team exerted big efforts due to items’ combustion and flammability properties by controlling the fire in time and preventing it from spreading to adjacent factories and warehouses. 

He added that the fire did not result in any injuries. 

Dozens of CDD vehicles and a large team participated in firefighting with a high level of coordination, the spokesperson said in a statement.
