AMMAN — HRH Princess Basma Bint Ali, chairperson of the board of trustees of the Hashemite Fund for the Development of the Jordan Badia, on Sunday inaugurated the “Badawiat” bazaar, organised by the Women of Hod Al Diseh Villages Association, the Irish embassy and Hod Al Diseh Municipality.
The bazaar is part of ongoing support to projects targeted by the Royal initiative to implement development projects in the badia regions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Princess Basma reviewed the work and products of the participating associations, which reflect the nature of the region, in particular, and the nature of the Jordanian society more broadly.
The bazaar showcases handicrafts, embroideries, heritage and ceramic works, natural soap, aromatic plants, sewing work and other products.
Deputy Head of the Irish Mission to Jordan, Sarah Dooley, expressed her country’s aspiration to provide further support to associations and small- and medium-sized enterprises in the Jordan Badia.
