Rapid Intervention Battalion, French Special Forces hold tactical drill

AMMAN — Rapid Intervention Battalion/Commandos 61, affiliated with the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Brigade, and a team from the French Special Forces on Wednesday carried out a tactical exercise. General Régis Colcombet, French Director of Security and Defence Cooperation, and a number of senior officers of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) attended the drill, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Spanning over a period of three weeks, the joint tactical exercise “Jabal 4” (Mountain 4) aimed to enhance the participants' ability to promptly respond to any unforeseen circumstances through coordinated efforts. The participants demonstrated “high levels” of fitness, accuracy and skill in combat in mountainous areas.
