Jordan condemns Israeli attacks in Palestinian territories

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry on Tuesday condemned the Israeli escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories, the latest of which is attacking Gaza and breaking into Nablus at dawn. 

Ministry Spokesman Sinan Majali stressed the need for the international community to act immediately and effectively to halt this aggression and to provide protection to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in all occupied Palestinian territories, according to a ministry statement. 

Majali reiterated that continued aggression and violations against the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and Israeli incursions into occupied Palestinian cities threaten further violence that will affect all. 

He added that the Kingdom continues its efforts to immediately stop this dangerous escalation, restore calm and prevent further violence.
