Chief prosecutor meets French, Belgian justice officials

AMMAN — Chief Prosecutor Yousef Thiabat last week met with several justice officials in France and Belgium to boost cooperation in criminal justice.
During his meeting with Francois Molins, Prosecutor of the French Court of Cassation, Thiabat asserted the intention to cooperate with France to fight terrorism, exchange expertise and hold training courses and sign a memorandum of understanding to serve the interests of the two countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Jordanian delegation also met with specialists and anti-terrorism investigators in Brussels.
The delegates discussed terrorism investigation techniques with Belgian officials, stressing the importance of signing a memorandum of understanding between the two kingdoms in order to exchange expertise and hold training sessions in both countries.
