Jordan mourns passing of former Higher Education minister

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, on Monday, mourned the passing of the former minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Omar Al Shdeifat, who passed away on Sunday. Khasawneh paid tribute to Shdeifat’s efforts in public service and expressed condolences to his family.

Shdeifat served as the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council and President of the Hashemite University before assuming his ministerial position, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
