Princess Basma attends Goodwill Campaign event for orphans in Irbid

AMMAN — HRH Princess Basma, president of the Goodwill Campaign Higher Committee of the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), on Thursday attended events organised by the campaign in Irbid.
The princess began the campaign's activities by visiting Al Kalima Al Tayyibah Society for the Care of Orphans in the Martyr Azmi Al Mufti Camp, which was established in 2019, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Friday.
Head of the society, Othman Al Bashiri, briefed the princess on the programmes, which serve around 200 orphans between 6 and 17 years old.
These programmes include cultural, religious and sports activities, as well as psychological support.
Princess Basma, together with the volunteer committees, distributed parcels that included gifts and clothes to children and their mothers.
At the Princess Basma Development Centre, the princess learned about the entertainment programme organised for the orphans, which included various artistic and recreational activities.
In the presence of Irbid Governor Radwan Al Atoum and a number of officials, the princess also attended the charitable iftar banquet held by the campaign for the families of orphans from various regions in Irbid.
