AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Wednesday called on the international community, Arab and international parliaments and all who value freedom and justice to take immediate action to halt the brutal attacks being perpetrated by Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people and their holy sites in Jerusalem.
The most recent of these attacks occurred during dawn prayers on Wednesday, during which occupation forces and settlers attacked worshippers at Al Aqsa Mosque, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Fayez emphasised that the acts of “terrorism” carried out by the Israeli occupation forces would not occur if not for the orders of the extremist, right-wing Israeli government. He urged Arab nations to take a proactive stance in supporting the Palestinian people in their efforts to resist Israeli aggression and to back the various initiatives launched by His Majesty King Abdullah to defend Jerusalem, the city’s Islamic and Christian holy sites and the Palestinian cause.
