Princess Muna opens 23rd Scientific Day for Nursing

AMMAN — HRH Princess Muna, president of the Jordanian Nursing Council and patron of Nursing and Midwifery in the Eastern Mediterranean Region, on Wednesday attended the opening of the 23rd Scientific Day for Nursing and the 6th for Allied Medical Professions, which is held on the sidelines of the 10th International Conference of Royal Medical Services at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre at the Dead Sea. 

Director General of the Royal Medical Services Brig. Gen. Yousef Zureikat voiced pride in the Royal Medical Services, adding that it has always been at the forefront of institutions specialised in the fields of medical sciences, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Director of Nursing and Allied Medical Professions at the Royal Medical Services Col. Nurse Basma Al Zoubi said that the conference is an integrated interactive platform for professional communication between health personnel, describing it as one of the most important medical conferences that is held at the local and regional levels.

CEO of the International Council of Nurses Howard Catton stressed the importance of nursing homes in various health fields, especially during the COVID pandemic, as they are the first line of defence, pointing to the need to educate and train nurses to raise their skills and knowledge.
