King holds trilateral meeting with Egypt president, Iraq PM

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, Egypt President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and Iraq Prime Minister Mohamed S. Al Sudani held trilateral talks on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the second Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership.
Discussions covered means to bolster cooperation and coordination within the trilateral framework, and the importance of building on what has been achieved to complete and expedite joint projects, in the best interest of the three countries, according to a Royal Court statement.
Talks also touched on the need to sustain follow-up mechanisms at the ministerial level and otherwise in the three countries, especially on electric connectivity, energy, and food security, in order to achieve regional integration.
The latest regional developments and issues of mutual concern were also discussed at the meeting, which was attended by senior officials from the three countries.
