Police chief talks security cooperation with Canada, UK envoys

AMMAN — Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Obaidallah Maaytah on Sunday met separately with British Ambassador Bridget Brind and Canadian Ambassador Tarik Ali Khan over means to enhance cooperation with their respective countries in police and security work.

During the meetings, Maaytah stressed the importance of a strategic partnership with the UK and Canada, particularly in capacity building and exchanging expertise, commending the level of cooperation between the PSD and the two embassies to enhance international security and peace, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The two ambassadors praised PSD’s role  and its provision of a modern security system, and commended the level of police and humanitarian services that it offers to citizens and residents.
