King received by President Tebboune in Algeria

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah arrived in Algiers on Saturday on a state visit at the invitation of Algeria President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
President Tebboune hosted a state dinner at the People’s Palace in Algiers in honour of His Majesty King Abdullah.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply and Minister of Labour Yousef Shamali, and Jordan’s Ambassador to Algeria Shaker Amoush, as well as senior Algerian officials attended the banquet, according to a Royal Court statement.
King Abdullah bestowed the Order of the Bejewelled Grand Cordon of Al Nahda (Order of the Renaissance) on President Tebboune, in recognition of his efforts to bolster the deep-rooted ties between the two countries and peoples, and marking His Majesty’s state visit to Algeria.
The Bejewelled Order of Al Nahda is granted to kings, princes, and heads of state.
President Tebboune presented the National Order of Merit “Athir”, one of the highest medals in Algeria, to His Majesty, in appreciation of King Abdullah, and in recognition of the deep-rooted ties between the two countries.
Earlier in the day, King Abdullah was received by the Algerian president at Houari Boumediene Airport, where His Majesty was accorded an official welcoming ceremony.
Receiving His Majesty at the airport were President of the Council of the Nation Salah Goudjil, President of the People’s National Assembly Brahim Boughali, Prime Minister Aymen Benabderrahmane, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army Gen. Saïd Chanegriha, Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra — the King’s escort of honour — and a number of ministers, in addition to members of the Arab and foreign diplomatic corps in Algeria, and Jordan’s Ambassador to Algeria Shaker Amoush, along with embassy staff.
