AMMAN — Thirteen female Tawjihi graduates have been offered full scholarships to study nursing at Princess Sarvath Community College (PSCC), and have been guaranteed employment after graduation, according to PSCC stakeholders.
The scholarships were awarded at a ceremony on Monday, where HRH Princess Sarvath Al Hassan honoured five PSCC students for their outstanding results in the Shamel exam.
During the ceremony, PSCC signed a memorandum of understanding with Al Sakha Medical Group, which provides wide-ranging home care medical services to patients nationwide.
The memo aims to support underprivileged households by awarding full scholarships to nursing college to female students from low-income households.
“We commit to improving society by giving 13 female graduates an opportunity to obtain a nursing degree at Princess Sarvath Community College, and we guarantee employment after graduation,” said Basel Olian, Al Sakha company's representative.
Olian noted that students who got the scholarships are from different governorates and will be rewarded with monthly allowance during their education.
“This is a part of AlSakha social responsibility programme, in order to reduce unemployment and support our society,” said Olian.
