Awamleh, PLO discuss cooperation on human rights

AMMAN — Government Coordinator for Human Rights at the Prime Ministry Nathir Awamleh and a delegation from the human rights and civil society department at the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) headed by director Ahmad Tamimi, on Tuesday discussed the importance of cooperation in human rights.
Awamleh commended the visit, meant to instill human rights principles and develop them based on accumulating expertise between the two sides, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. He also stressed Jordan’s support to the Palestinian cause, which His Majesty King Abdullah stresses at all international events. Tamimi praised the Kingdom’s role in supporting the Palestinian cause, commending the Kingdom’s expertise in human rights.
