AMMAN — Upon Royal directives, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Saturday inaugurated the new Ruwaished Public Hospital, one of key development projects being carried out in the district in Mafraq.
Issawi, accompanied by Minister of Public Works and Housing Yahya Al Kasbi, Health Minister Feras Al Hawari and Mafraq Governor Salman Najada, toured various sections of the hospital, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The officials took a first-hand look at modern equipment in the three-storey, 20-bed hospital, UAE-funded, that includes kidney dialysis, surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, intensive care and sterilisation units, as well as a laboratory, pharmacy and logistics facilities.
Issawi, who is also head of the committee to follow-up on the implementation of Royal initiatives, said that the establishment of the hospital came upon directives by His Majesty King Abdullah to cover the needs of local communities and provide best health and medical service to the public, especially in remote areas, within a comprehensive vision to achieve development.
He added that the hospital will enhance healthcare services in Ruwaished District and provide "quality services" by "qualified and experienced" medical staff.
To realise the Royal vision of providing healthcare services to citizens nationwide, hospitals and medical centres have been maintained, expanded and rehabilitated and provided with the necessary medical devices and equipment, the Royal court official said.
Hawari said that the Royal initiative to establish the Ruwaished Hospital is a “quantum leap” in health and medical services in the area, especially by improving the quality of services provided to patients by “qualified” personnel.
In addition to healthcare, Ruwaished is witnessing the implementation of other Royal initiatives in several sectors, including education, agriculture, services, eco-tourism, social care, and income-generating projects, as well as programmes to empower women and youth.
