Aqaba gets first specialised medical school

AMMAN — The Aqaba Medical Sciences University (AMSU), the first specialised medical school in Aqaba has opened after receiving accreditation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of AMSU University Ali Abu Al Ragheb announced on Wednesday.
During a press conference, Abu Al Ragheb highlighted the role of the university in enhancing economic and social development in the southern region, adding that the university has an investment volume of JD120 million, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
President of the University's Board of Directors Osama Madi noted that the university is home to a medical university that will witness the enrolment of 150 medical students and 150 dental students in the first semester of the 2022-2023 academic year.
