PM, Senate president mourn death of former minister Halaseh

AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh on Saturday mourned the death of former minister of transport Adib Halaseh, who passed away earlier in the day. Khasawneh recalled the noble services of the late minister, who assumed the position of minister of transport from 1993-1994.

Halaseh was also a member of the Senate and a judge at the Justice Ministry, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Born in Karak in 1932, Halaseh was a recipient of the Order of the Star of Jordan of the First Class. Khasawneh also expressed his condolences to the Halaseh family. Also on Saturday, Senate President Faisal Fayez expressed condolences over the passing of Halaseh, recalling his contributions to the nation. Fayez also expressed condolences to Halaseh's family.
