AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, on Wednesday met with the CEO of Orange Jordan, Thierry Marigny, to discuss means of enhancing cooperation in digital education for people with disabilities.
Prince Mired referred to challenges that people with disabilities face in various fields, particularly in education, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that e-systems and online educational platforms did not meet the needs of students with disabilities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He expressed pride in the council’s cooperation with Orange Jordan, referring to efforts in partnership with the private sector to provide jobs for people with disabilities and grant them an opportunity to participate in society.
Marigny highlighted the company’s keenness to partner with the council to enhance digital education tools for people with disabilities, and guarantee their right to accessible curricula.
