Cabinet approves recommendation to dissolve chambers of industry boards of directors

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday, during a session chaired by Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh, approved a recommendation by the minister of industry, trade and supply to dissolve the boards of directors of chambers of industry in the Kingdom as of October 2, prior to holding elections.
The minister tasked stakeholders with forming ad hoc committees to run the chambers of industry until the elections, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Council of Ministers also approved the minister's recommendation to dissolve the boards of directors as of November 6, prior to holding elections, and to form ad hoc committees to administer their affairs until the elections. The decision stipulated that the Cabinet shall receive names of members of these ad hoc committees within two weeks of the issuance of the decision.
