PSD chief, NYPD commissioner discuss enhancing cooperation

AMMAN — Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh on Tuesday met Commissioner of the City of New York Police Department (NYPD) Keechant L. Sewell over issues of shared interest.
During a meeting held in New York, Hawatmeh expressed the PSD's keenness to strengthen relations with the NYPD to learn about best practices and regulations as well as to build both sides' security capacities.
Sewell commended the PSD's reputation and performance, stressing the importance of enhancing cooperation, primarily in training and the exchange of expertise.
Hawatmeh departed on an official visit to attend the third United Nations Chiefs of Police Summit (UNCOPS 2022).
