Education Ministry's planning committee reviews preparations for new 2022/2023 academic year

AMMAN — The planning committee of the Education Ministry on Tuesday discussed preparations to start the 2022/2023 academic year in a way that guarantees providing proper school environment for students and teachers.
Education Minister Wajih Owais highlighted the importance for education directorates to cooperate and benefit from the available appliances and preparations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He added that the ministry has implemented necessary maintenance to school desks, commending the role of schools and vocational warehouses that exerted big efforts in maintaining and manufacturing new seats to meet the needs of schools.
Owais also called for forming field teams to visit schools and follow up on the capacity of classes, reduce overcrowding in classes and reach proper solutions, such as distributing students on more classes and adopting the two-shift system after the best utilisation of the available area.
The two secretaries general of the ministry called on affiliated directorate to increase the level of communication with the field to follow up on the preparations to overcome any challenges and maximise benefits until reaching the highest levels of preparedness at schools.
Meanwhile, education directors reviewed their preparations and the needs of schools in their respective directorates, stressing keenness for schools to receive students with the highest possible levels of preparedness.
