JFDZG takes part in exhibition to enhance economic cooperation

AMMAN — The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZG) on Thursday took part in an exhibition titled "Strengthening Joint Arab Economic Cooperation”, which is being held in Amman between August 24 and 27.
The event witnessed the participation of some 40 companies from Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Egypt and Sudan, representing various investment sectors, including agricultural foodstuffs, furniture, clothing and fashion, ICT, medical supplies, handicrafts, real estate and housing, tourism, medical tourism, as well as health and transport sectors, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Amjad Wedyan, director of investment at the JFDZG, said that the event, sponsored by the Ministry of Investment, identifies the Kingdom's pivotal role in promoting joint, integrated Arab action necessary to achieve Arab economic unity.
The first of its kind in Jordan, the Arab economic multi-sectoral exhibition, provides a forum for businesspeople, trade development bodies and chambers of commerce and industry, and serves a platform for economic events in the Arab countries to showcase their products and services and a networking channel for Arab countries' private sectors.
