HFDJB, Royal Botanic Garden sign MoU

AMMAN — The Hashemite University and Royal Botanic Garden on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding to implement scientific projects and conduct training in cooperation with the university's Prince El Hassan Bin Talal Faculty for Natural Resources and Environment.

HRH Princess Basma Bint Ali, chairperson of the board of trustees of the Hashemite Fund for the Development of the Jordan Badia (HFDJB) and founder of the Royal Botanical Garden, stressed the importance of cooperation among leading national institutions, mainly between the institutions with a long history of preserving the environment.

Princess Basma noted that the garden includes more than 600 varieties of plants and was established on over 1,700 dunums with diverse physical and biological conditions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The memorandum was signed by University President Fawwaz Zboun and Royal Botanical Garden Director General Mohammed Shahbaz.
