AMMAN – Terre des hommes (Tdh) Lausanne, an international relief organisation, held a roundtable discussion session to showcase its main achievements of 2021 and 2022 under the Access to Justice (A2J) programme targeting children in conflict or contact with the law.

The programme is being implemented through various projects across different governorates in Jordan, according to Tdh a statement.

Tdh presented its 2022-2024 strategy and highlighted the partnerships and collaboration with the various professional parties to ensure the application of restorative justice approaches within the different judicial and non-judicial stages and the expansion.

“During the last year, we supported the expansion of services which benefitted more than 1,200 children, women and families and community members. As we all know, such results can only happen with solid, long-term collaboration and close coordination among all the professional institutions and partners. This roundtable is an important part of this continued coordination with a view to protecting and fulfilling the rights of children and women in the Kingdom of Jordan,” said Elizabeth Cossor, Tdh Multi-Country Delegation Representative.

The session hosted members of the Judicial Council, the Ministry of Social Development, University of Jordan’s Faculty of Law, the Family Protection and Juvenile Department , the National Council for Family Affairs  and the heads of community-based organisations.
