AMMAN — Secretary General of the Ministry of Social Development Barq Al Dmour and Director of Social Development in Maan Amjad Al Jazi on Tuesday visited the Rowad Al Khair Association in Al Jafr District in the southern governorate.
The visit was a part of a tour where Dmour learned about the charity association and was briefed on all of the existing projects in community development and relief in remote and lower-income areas.
Director General of Rowad Al Khair Ahmed Al Battat praised the media office of the association’s efforts to follow up on the association’s work in remote villages, despite the distance between them and the capital, Amman, according to a statement made available to The Jordan Times.
The secretary general’s visit occurred during an awareness session on “the impact of drugs on families and individuals”, presented by facilitator Saud Abu Tayeh, a staff member of Rowad Al Khair, who works on a case management project involving child protection in the host community, which is supported by UNICEF.
This awareness session, hosted by Rowad Al Khair, was held in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and the Ministry of Education and targeted a number of regional children.
