Germany keen to recruit skilled labour from Jordan — employment agency

AMMAN — Executive director for International Relations Affairs at the Federal German Employment Agency Markus Persheur on Thursday stressed that the agency is moving towards expanding cooperation with its Jordanian partners to market Jordanian competencies.
During a meeting with the board of directors of the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI), Persheur highlighted Germany's high demand for skilled workers in various fields. He noted that his country, in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), has launched the "Triple Win" programme to offer Jordanian nurses jobs in Germany.
ACI Vice President Ahmed Khudari highlighted the need for further cooperation with German bodies to improve vocational training to meet the demand of the manufacturing sector.
The members also commended Germany's support for Jordan's sectors, notably the manufacturing field, lauding International Relations Affairs at the Federal German Employment Agency's role since its establishment eight years ago in improving economic relations.
