Customs Department chief, Mexican ambassador discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Jordan Customs Department (JCD) Director General Maj. Gen. Jalal Qudah and Mexican Ambassador to Jordan Rodriguez-Hernandez on Thursday discussed means to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation, especially in fields related to customs.

The meeting covered issues concerned with administrative cooperation as the JCD is about to sign a memorandum of understanding with its Mexican counterpart on enhancing cooperation, exchanging expertise and opening communication channels in a way that contributes to facilitating trade flow, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Mexican envoy expressed his appreciation for Qudah and the JCD personnel, praising the advanced level of the department in monitoring borders and facilitating procedures.
