First session of Joint Jordanian-Sri Lankan Business Council held

AMMAN — The Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA), in cooperation with the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) and in coordination with the Sri Lankan embassy in Amman on Tuesday held the first session of the Joint Jordanian-Sri Lankan Business Council virtually.
According to a JBA statement, the agreement relating to the establishment of the council, signed on the sidelines of the virtual event, aims to bolster relations between the two countries’ business communities, investment cooperation and exchange visits, in addition to encouraging the establishment of joint companies.
Sri Lanka's Ambassador to the Kingdom Shanika Dissanayake highlighted that the volume of trade exchange between the two countries has increased during recent years, in favour of her country, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
