Army chief visits King Hussein Bin Talal 40th Armoured Brigade

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Monday night visited the King Hussein Bin Talal 40th Armoured Brigade, one of the Central Military Zone units.
Received by the zone’s commander, Huneiti listened to a briefing by the commander on the tasks and duties of the brigade and the progress on its operational, training and administrative operations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The army chief also attended a drill for the Zayed (LeClerc) tanks that recently entered service and the anti-tank terminator missile, which was designed and developed in Jadara Equipment and Defence Systems Co. under Royal directives to develop the local defence industries.
Huneiti also met with personnel of the brigade and conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army.
