AMMAN — The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) and SITA, a leading specialist in air transport communications and information technology (IT), on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding to improve job opportunities for students and young professionals in Jordan.
The three-year agreement includes graduate and training programmes.
As over 70 per cent of the Kingdom’s population is below 30, the memo will help young Jordanians develop new skills and secure job opportunities in the IT sector, a priority sector for the local economy, SITA said in a statement reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
CPF CEO Tamam Mango expressed her pride during the ceremony for the new partnership with SITA, which can strengthen links with the private sector.
Hani El Assaad, president of the Middle East, India and Africa Department at SITA, expressed the air transport communications and information technology company’s keenness to continue support for communities.
Assaad noted that the new partnership with the CPF embodies the common goals to sharpen young people’s skills and discover new talents through providing them with the practical experience required in the labour market.
