Cabinet okays draft law related to development of land adjacent to Baptism Site

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved the draft law related to the development of land adjacent to the Baptism Site for 2021.

The draft law is meant to develop the land surrounding the holy site to become one of the world’s key religious and historical attractions. Under the law, a non-for-profit charity association will be established to upgrade the land adjacent to the Baptism Site, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
